how do you even come up with your rape & gore fantasies for mainstream movies/tv?

The MCU isn't giving you A Serbian Film.

ETA: agree w/ duzz, the problem was botching his creation. There was no build-up to the power he instantly acquired. Since they had the rights to Hank Pym, they could've made him an earlier creation of Pym's that got out of control and evolved in secret before seeking to wreak havoc.

Ultron could’ve killed a bunch of people without the movie showing gore. Thanos wiped out half of everyone and did it in a tasteful way.

Ultron should have had a multi-movie arch in the same way that Thanos was. You could have done Age of Ultron, ended it the exact same way, but find out after the blip that he had uploaded his consciousness and was biding his time. In a digital age, Ultron could always come back.

They probably used him too early (before they really had cohesiveness. I mean shite Whedon directed this movie and look how wrong we were about him compared to the Russos arc), but they had to use a big bad for the Sokovia Accords, which led the drama in the final phase of the Infinity Saga until IW.

If it wasn't Ultron, it would have been a bad on that level.

Mandarin from Iron Man 3

The twist with the Mandarin was the only thing worth a shite about Iron Man 3. They should have had Hail To the King (where the Mandarin is real, and kills the actor) as the end credits scene, and then used the real one in another movie.

Instead, well, it was a waste of a character. We have phase 4 which gargles Donkey dick, with a ton of Canon and characters that are wasted.

To be fair, we eventually did get the real Mandarin in Shang-Chi and Tony Leung had a great performance.

If Shang-Chi had followed Iron Man 3 a lot closer in time, and you somehow kept Mandarin alive at the end, that would have been a great set-up.
Or maybe, have a movie in between, with Tony vs Mandarin, and then have Shang Chi

After doing a total rewatch last year, Ultron was a better movie and character than first impression. That movie sets so many future story arcs in motion.

Nah. Spader grave some gravitas to a mediocre plot.

Yellowjacket is my vote as most disappointing and least nuanced villain. Nothing against Stahl but he’s the least memorable by a mile.

It's definitely one of the funniest complaints I've ever seen about a film. It's about powerful aliens arriving and causing some destruction...OMG THE HORROR!!

No one knows who Yellowjacket is. Yeah, Ultron was perfectly cast, which makes it all the more disappointing how much they fricked him up. None of that is on Spader.

I’ll argue that maybe 10% of the population knew who Ultron was over Yellowjacket.

Evil businessman taking over tech and using it for evil from the genius/hero was already used in Iron Man.

Stahl is no Bridges though and Yellowjacket’s damage was limited to a suburban San Francisco home.

I’ll stick to my argument that Yellowjacket was more disappointing.

I mean, for people who read the comics, Ultron is absolutely notorious. I do think he’s truly the most evil comic book character of all time. He just has the works going for him: genocidal, sexual pervert, inferiority complex, superiority complex, identity complex, manipulative, vicious, Machiavellian, and it’s believable in his character. Yellowjacket would not be in the Top 100 comic book villains. Ultron is almost indisputably in the Top 10. He’s just terrifying and a feral animal when he thinks he’s the height of logic.
