Islands of Adventure is going to make a Zelda theme area at Universal Studios Orlando

With this happening, does this mean that Universal will be making a Zelda movie like Super Mario Bros? This would be awesome

Is that confirmed? I've seen rumors but haven't seen anything solid from Universal yet.
To be fair, Universal is notorious about announcing nothing until it's near completion.

I’ve been watching different Disney/Universal YouTubers and one of them made a video at Islands of Adventure today. He said he heard from people there they they are going to make a new Zelda theme area there so people would still visit the park instead of putting all the new stuff at Epic Universe at Super Nintendo World.

I think that would be awesome, and it makes total sense there, so I really hope that comes to pass.
ETA: I really loved the Poseidon attraction though so I'm sad it's closing.

Yep I’ve been saying that they see an opportunity to overstep the mouse. They’ll continue working with Nintendo/Illumination to expand that universe.

Looks to me like they've already won.
The sad thing is, even with Nintendo, this is more about Disney dropping the ball than Universal doing anything amazing.

Epic Universe will be ready in less time than Disney did taking 5 years just to build Tron ride at Magic Kingdom lol.

And the only thing they have coming now is a retheme of Splash Mountain that no one actually wants.
I've heard terrible reviews of the Tron coaster. Definitely not a ticket seller.

They have to break the Disney mystique which having this type of IP( and HP) is the indicator of obviously happening but still Disney is number one for now

Animated preferably as Gorons and Zoras would be difficult to CGI or practical effect without looking like the power rangers show

I am still expecting a lot more movies like Sonic and Detective Pikachu and Chip and Dale that blend the CGI and humans and pull it off decently well.
