Agreed. Seems like a total douche but probably does the best cooking shows on TV. Not that I watch any cooking show for more than a few minutes during a commercial break.

wade's a badass. rowe seems like a nice/cool guy. but i want to drink with bourdain.

I don't know who Wade is. Sorry.
Rowe seems like a genuinely affable guy. He would be blast to have a beer with, and he pretty much has a career based on being likeable.
Bourdain is sort of awesome, though he's also a pretentious a-hole. That's what makes him great, honestly. He's toned down a lot of his opinions (most notably on Emeril -- he hated his guts, but after Katrina and Emeril's efforts to keep everybody emplyed changed his tune, theere's more to the guy than just his cooking). I love that Bourdain is passionate about something, even if he's mellowed in his old age. He's a guy who essentially tells us to go out and enjoy life, and if your mom makes spaghetti from a can, that is "authentic" as anything else. Because that's what your mom made.
