I would agree with you that it is "Peak Carrey" - although MM&I and The Mask are up there.
To really compare apples to apples, you would have to look at Chevy's best work - those 2 are the Gold Standard for me, at least during my lifetime.
Frankly, he never caught on in features, but Ty Burrell's work in Modern Family, at its best, is comparable to Chevy and Carrey.
