Melt: [on] off

This has to be one of the worst endings to a show I've ever seen - like top 3 all time...Dexter Series finale bad.

It just totally sucks the air out of everything that happened in season 1.

Whoever wrote/directed that should never write a show ever again

Season 1 is great. Finish it.
Everything up to the last two episodes is good and is worth watching.

Season one is one of my favorite seasons of any show.

Seasons two and three are good, definitely worth watching if you watched season one.

But yes, the last two episodes of season 3 were not a very good end to the series.

Keep watching it... the last 3 episodes of season 3 are the worst but every episode up until then is worthy of watching

Agreed

Season 3 was fast past and really good until the last 2. Just finish it so you can decide for yourself

Dexter ends perfectly.

Except for Debra dying. That pissed me off.

I had a big problem with Dexter or Jax Teller even contemplating suicide. It seemd line their character arc was built up completely against it and then bam, they both consider it.

With Bloodline it seemed like the writers and director realized they had two episodes left to wrap it up and they were given a day to make it all happen. They sure as hell seemed to have packed it in after writing a pretty damn good show up to that point.

I don't know if they wrote themselves into a jam in that they didn't have sufficient time to cleanly wrap the storyline up or what but they definitely wasted the last two episodes of the series. It felt akin to having a world class chef prepare a personal meal for you on a special occasion but he showed up completely drunk/drugged off his arse and threw a pot full of top notch I ngredients together that made zero sense, tasted worse, and still served it complete with a "bon appetit!"

I agree. Was totally disappointed. The 2nd to last episode was absolutely awful. Shame because the show was really good until that point.

I hate dream sequence episodes. It just feels like a waste of time.

I just watched season 3 episode 2 last night....First time I had the thought of..."holy shite, they are actually going to get away with all of this"

I am totally disappointed in what I'm hearing about the end, because up until now, this show has been great.

They have done such a fantastic job illustrating the flexible, complicated loyalty and morality among a very complicated family dynamic.

That ending was so bad I thought maybe I jumped ahead a couple episodes in error. No the writers were in error. S1 was great. S2 was good. S3 was disappointing.

Is it as bad as the ending of Lost?

Cause at the end of that they were just making up shite...

Lost was fantastic. Im sorry it did not lay everything out for you on a silver platter. That show was fantastic and it was more of a character driven show than a play driven series...

OP is being a little dramatic. Bloodline's ending was not fantastic and it was done quickly but it was not terrible. I was also disappointed but it was far from being terrible

Show is still worth a watch all the way through

Agreed. Weird ending. Funny because my wife mentioned last night after episode 8 how she was surprised this is ending after three seasons since it had been so good. Then it kind of deflated fast with last 2 episodes

Agree. Sucked balls. Season 1 was so good. Season 2 was meh. Season 3 was the worst I've seen on Netflix in any show. frick that. Shitty Shitty ending to a potential great all around story.
