Costner cast in a very unusual part as a serial killer. Dane Cook as his protege that blackmails his way into learing from him. Pretty wicked flick. If you saw it, please share what you think.

All I know about it is that it was filmed in Shreveport.

I thought it was great. It was a very creepy movie IMO.

I loved the scene when he knocks out Dane Cook and buries him. I wish he had done that for real.

I thought William Hurt was awesome as his alter ego.

It wasn't a horrible movie, but the unneccessary "Matrix"/Jason Stratham inspired techno riddled shoot-out almost ruined the movie...the movie was a slow paced, decent psychological thriller, then all of a sudden Demi Moore is like running up the walls and dodging bullets and whatnot to techno music, WTF??

Might want to put *spoilers* in the thread title.

I liked seeing Shreveport in the movie. And it's one of the few times a movie was shot here and the movie was decent.
Dane Cook was an odd cast. But he was ok. Pretty underrated movie imo. And a cool ending.

Me too. Sucks that something like that can ruin a movie for me

I find myself seeing a lot of the Shreveport stuff and looking for stuff too, since I grew up there, but it definitely doesn't ruin the movie for me. I really liked this movie, along with The Guardian (also filmed there).
The only movie I didn't like that I've seen that was filmed there was "Beyond a Reasonable Doubt", but I haven't seen many of them. This movie was just terribly written and even Michael Douglas mailed this one in. The only cool thing I saw was there was a scene with a guy I went to high school with that had a speaking part in it. That was pretty cool.
And now, looking back at this link I post below, Year One was filmed there. Meh. Also, Premonition, with Sandra Bullock...horrible.
