Just watched The Way Back (w/ Ben Affleck)

Just got done with this movie and I have to say Ben Affleck really killed this role.

The movie isn’t perfect, but it’s got a great score and a lot of heart and realism. This one really hits home as I have a close relative who is an alcoholic and similar backstory.

Since Ben Affleck has struggled with alcoholism himself, it seemed he wasn’t acting as much as really letting us see his real life. The scene with his therapist in rehab really should have given him an Oscar nod for this one.

Either way, If you haven’t seen this one please do. Its well written, not cliche and is way more realistic than Coach Carter or any other high school basketball movie.
