Both of these fine actors usually turn in great supporting performances, EX. Bacon in Frost/Nixon, Harrelson in No Country For Old Men.

Woody Harrelson was in L.A. Story with Sarah Jessica Parker who was in Footloose with Kevin Bacon.

Bacon and I don't think its close. His range far exceeds Harrelson's.

Perhaps but if you examine Bacon's body of work there are a number of roles he's played Woody Harrelson couldn't touch. I can't imagine Woody playing Ensign Pulver in Mr. Roberts or Fenwick in Diner. This is not meant to diminish harrelson but rather to acknowledge Bacon's consistency in a number of different roles.
