Has anyone seen this movie? Based on a true story. Just finished watching it and enjoyed it. Anyone have any thoughts about the movie?

It is, without a doubt, one of my favorite all time movies. We've talked about it a lot on this board and it gets high marks from pretty much everyone.

Well casted and acted, music was great, story was outstanding and Jessica Chastain was sexy as frick.

It was a good movie. As a southerner,I had not heard of the brothers. My dad remembers the story. Good movie. Love Tom Hardy's character.

Great movie that didn't get the credit it deserves.

Really good movie. It’s on Netflix but not a ‘Netflix movie’ as I’ve yet to see a good one of those.

Lots of good roles, and great cast. Overall big thumbs up.

My wife and saw this in the theater and I hated it. Just thought it was a bad movie and it's been a while but I think I expected Gary Oldman to be involved at the end and help the brothers or something. Maybe he did and I forgot or there was any other reason for his character to be involved in the movie. I did only see it the once so maybe I was just in a bad mood at the time.

Written by Nick Cave is interesting. I didn't know that.

yea. I really liked it. Shia was a bit overboard like always but Tom Hardy and the rest of the cast was outstanding

Plus, Jessica Chastain

My father-in-law is in it multiple times with his cars & truck driving in the background. He's also in a gun fight scene.

He registered his model A's on some website and get calls for his cars in period movies.

who also wrote one of my all time favorite westerns in The Proposition, also directed by John Hillcoat. Both scored by Cave & Ellis.

another movie of Hillcoat's I really enjoy, that's a bit overlooked, is Triple 9 (terrible title). It certainly isn't high art, but it's a very entertaining addition to the cop/heist genre, and better than a lot of them.
