Of all the Disney movies I didn’t think needed a live action adaptation, this one is up there. High chance they piss off a lot of Millennials and Gen Z if the frick this up

If I wasn't already not watching Disney live action remakes, this one would be the trigger.

Def would prefer animated, but I have to say, Stitch looks badass.

They did a great job with him, unlike all the other live action CGI they do.

I recently watched the animated version a few weeks ago for the first time and it did nothing for me .

Does anyone want a live action remake of this? Seems necessary but whatever

Id bet Stitch is the most popular, non-mainstream (Mickey, Donald, etc...) Disney character

More than Woody, Buzz, Mike Wazowski, Simba, Genie, etc?

I work in licensing. He is definitely the hottest right now.

I have no idea how the actual humans are going to come off in the movie, but this type of live action/animation hybrid can work since it's dealing with made-up alien designs so it won't be like Lion King or Jungle Book where the animated animals were hyperrealistic to the point that their faces were expressionless.

That Stitch animation looks really good.

He’s on that level right now, the movie is often seen as one of the best Disney movies in the past 30-40 years

These movies should not be considered live action. They are hybrids, like Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Have Stitch be a guy in a costume, then it’s live action

Yes, Stitch is universally liked.

I mean, hell, hasn't had a movie or anything relevant in years upon years and still big selections of stitch merch in specialty shops along with him being all over cheap clothing in places like Walmart, Target, etc...

how much would a “live action” toy story make?

I feel like i’d actually be interested in that one.

If you go by this standard than less than 5% of wide releases of the last 30 years are live action. CGI is used in pert near every movie these days to various degrees.

Naw.

A live-action Buzz Lightyear movie would be good as long as they hire straight white non liberal males to run it all.

Lightyear really isn’t a bad movie.

it’s just a not a movie that appeals directly to Toy Story fans.

If you wanted to edit out the liberal parts of that movie it would be 20 seconds shorter.

Correct.

It’s an absolute shite movie. There is nothing heroic about Buzz in that movie and nothing remotely endearing or entertaining about it. It’s the only Pixar movie I’ve watched in theaters and have never viewed a second of again.
