Is this the one about Richard Jewell? The movie is still fresh in my mind so I didn't think this would add anything new.

It's about the Centenial Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta and the abortion clinic bombing in Birmingham and the shady FBI investigation and media coverage of Richard Jewell as well as the manhunt for Eric Robert Rudolph.

I regretfully haven't seen the Richard Jewell movie yet so I can't speak to the similarities but it does do a really good job of showing how the FBI and the media ruined his life. It also does a good job of portraying the manhunt of Eric Rudolph

This one is mostly about the hunt for Eric Robert Rudolph though Richard Jewell does play a big role in the miniseries because he was the chief suspect of the Olympic Park bombing for a time.

By the by, this is the second season of Manhunt. The first season came out a few years ago and was about the hunt for the Unabomber. That, too, was a solid season of television with Paul Bettany playing Ted Kaczynski. Check it out if you haven't seen it.

BTW, Jewell is played by this guy (from Mindhunter and Umbrella Academy).

Really good. Way better than the move. Much more detailed
and a deeper look into the FBI investigation. Plus you get the background on Rudolph and what eventually lead the investigation towards his direction.

What? No it didn't

It was well done BUT the series took a TON of liberties especially with the Rudolph manhunt, ATF agent along with the timeline.

The hunt for Rudolph went on for 5 years and the FBI immediately tied the bombing at the Sandy Springs medical building (my Doctors and dentist office as kid BTW) and gay bar to Rudolph plus his Hunt lasted for 5 YEARS and there was no murder of those 2 brothers and locals in Murphy weren't giving him assistance

Finished this last night. Overall it was enjoyable. It seemed like the Richard Jewell stuff was pretty true to life but they went a little dramatic with the Rudolph stuff and it was obvious. I knew the militia stuff was horse crap before I googled it.

I'm glad you said this. I watched the jewell movie the other day so on its face I don't have a lot of desire to watch the show in the op BUT I watched that unabomber season and absolutely loved it. I didn't connect the dots on tbe title that it's the same series. I'll definitely check this out now.

It was excellent. I finished it in 2 nights. The ATF agent was really good. The guy from Mindhunter nailed the portrayal of Richard Jewell.

It was good.

The whole scene with the delivery guy dumping his pizza on the ground made me profoundly sad.

But in mindhunter he cut his mother's head off and fricked it. In this he's proven innocent in the end i thought. Also a good guy wtf

Did that really happen? Mindhunter usually is spot on
