Part documentary, part expose, this film follows one-time child evangelist Marjoe Gortner on the "church tent" Revivalist circuit, commenting on the showmanship of Evangelism and "the religion business", prior to the start of "televangelism".

Anyone see this movie, I know it is rather old 1972 (well at least in my terms). While reading Hitchens came across him mentioning it. Worth watching?

Yeah he is amazing, almost done with god is not great. Then going to read Dawkins, greatest show on earth. In the process of throwing off the shackles my baptist upbringing put on me.

I read God Delusion last year. Great book! As it's been said before, it should be in the night stand of every hotel room right next to the bible.

Huh...I'm actually reading Sam Harris' The End of Faith right now. Toss in a Dan Dennet book and we've got the Four Horsemen covered.
