Marvel’s Secret Invasion on Disney+

It premieres in a week on June 21. There is zero hype for this show. It shows how bad the Marvel output has been besides GotG recently. For some reason (i have no good excuse), I am hyped for this one.

Some reviews are starting to come out from some youtubers and it seems like its gonna be a step up from the recent struggles. One even called it the Andor of the MCU, its got some darkness to it

Marvel's #SecretInvasion brilliantly gives fans a glimpse at what Earth is like when its Mightiest Heroes aren't around. A bit slow at first, it's nothing short of top-tier MCU. Nick Fury & company are great, but the paranoia is GREATER. Imagine John Carpenter's The Thing x 10.

Only 2 episodes in and #SecretInvasion is getting back to business a la Marvel's early phases. Winter Soldier tones are set. Best of all, this series isn't afraid of taking risks in the story early on. If this can stick the landing, it can become one of the better MCU series.

It’s a brutal and dark #MCU series that explores the themes of survivalism and integration with some shocking scenes of violence.
There’s a bit of #Marvel cheese, but it doesn’t overshadow the goodness here.

There’s been ads for it forever now. It’s the only thing I’ve looked forward to from the MCU as everything else lately has been shite except GotG. Still haven’t watched the new Antman.

In the Comics, Secret Invasion was the storyline right after Civil War and wasn’t half bad. Not woke at all.

Cobie Smulders 11 year run in the MCU comes to an end. Pretty surprising ending as I was expecting her to stick around for the length of the show.
Martin Freeman's Everett Ross is still alive, I'm assuming? In Skrull custody somewhere? I guess the real question is, how long?
