I watched the first episode last night. Was pretty good. I always thought Maul was a good character with more to explore. I guess we won't get a follow up to his cameo in SOLO.

I just watched the first as well. I’m impressed with the voice acting so far. Starkiller never disappoints as Maul. The Allstate guy/Best President on 24 was a nice choice for the Jedi and I like Wagner Moura as the cop too.

This is probably as close as we will get to whatever they were setting up with Solo. It will take a season or two to catch up to that point in time since this is only a couple years after the end of the clone wars.

He has a great arc to follow. I hope someday they can put it all together but not sure if this series will make it to Solo and if it does they will miss a lot.

His cameo happens 10 years from where this show has started and his ending in Rebels is 17 years away.

Loving the animation improvements, casting, and dialogue

Seems like another animated winner from Filoni

The animation is gorgeous. I don't remember the previous animated series looking this good. They nailed that "lived in" universe look.

The improvements to the backgrounds is really what stood out to me. The latter end of Rebels that character animation and stuff has been fantastic, but the backgrounds were pretty limited in a lot of areas. So far, not the case here. Really, really well done.

It's really telling how stupid a lot of you guys are, when you guys are getting this personal with each other over a fricking TV show.

Two more episodes released today. Even better than the first two and a cool ending to episode 4. Next week’s two should be even better.

Not only is the animation on another level, but the sound design is top notch too. Here is a clip about the saber sounds.

Episode 5 was a little slow but 6 was a banger. Nice to see them to expand the backstory of the First Brother (inquisitor from Ahsoka).

These last two episodes were fantastic. I've never been one that particularly enjoys Star Wars animation, but this show is really good.

It took me a while to get into the animation series, but the story arcs and the mythology of Star Wars is really only told in the animation series. I wish they would do more with the live action, but it feels like they try and hit grand slams with those in how they cast and build them up, and every single one (except Andor) has missed badly. Filoni owns the animation and his stories work there.

Best thing Disney+ does is Star Wars animated, could probably say the same for Marvel when it comes to X-Men 97, What If and Marvel Zombies.

I think a lot of that has to do with costs, and people are also personally attached the the live action characters. There are few animated characters that people get emotionally attached to, and the one's they do get attached to more often than not get ruined in live action. See Cad Bane & Asoka.

I started seeing some spoilers on Twitter for the final two episodes, so I watched this morning. It is clear why Disney chose to air the finale on May 4th instead of the premiere.

Masterful storytelling. Idk who wrote this series, the show runner, etc...but get them to do more. They get it

Episode 9 is badass, especially the big battle. Top tier Star Wars animation.

Episode 10 is even better, this is IMO not far below Andor in terms of Disney and Star Wars.
