French actor Gaspard Ulliel, known for "Hannibal Rising," "Saint Laurent" and was poised to appear in the upcoming Marvel series "Moon Knight" has died at age 37.

The actor, known for appearing in Chanel perfume ads as well as film and television roles, died Wednesday after a skiing accident in the Alps, according to his agent's office.

Ulliel portrayed the young Hannibal Lecter in the 2007 prequel to "Silence of the Lambs" and "Red Dragon" as well as fashion mogul Yves Saint Laurent in the 2014 biopic about his life. He is also the advertising face of the Chanel men’s fragrance Bleu de Chanel. He will play the role of Midnight Man in the upcoming Disney+ series "Moon Knight," which dropped its official trailer just one day prior.

Shouldve got the booster.

RIP Gaspard. I saw he was not wearing a helmet and it contributed. There are worse ways to go though

I'm not going to be the person i'm expected to be any more.

Perfume/Cologne commercials are dumb but that one always stood out to me for some reason.

It's definitely one of the more memorable ones. It's been played every commercial break every Christmas season for what feels like a decade, that it's completely burned into my memory.

Same; I was oddly entertained by that commercial as well

Wow that sucks. I'd hate to die from a skiing accident.

Sonny Bono and actress Natasha Richardson (Liam Nesson's wife) died while skiing as well.

It could be worse, you could live after one like Michael Schumacher did.

Surviving Schumi style is definitely the worse proposition.

Three concussions, a torn MCL and no more menscus in my right knee. Skiing can mess you up.

Robert Kennedy's son died as well. He was in his late 30's and they were playing football on skis when he hit a tree.

Very unfortunate situation. I’m always amazed at resorts on how many don’t wear helmets in this day and age. I’m not the best or anything by a long shot, but I would never not wear one. Even the most advanced skier or rider could catch an edge or an unexpected ice patch and it all goes wrong. Too risky imo.

The most Kennedy death I can think of.
