Moonlighting - Cybil Shepard and Bruce Willis

My wife and I watched the pilot episode last night. Not a great detective series, but the interactions between Cybil Shepard and Bruce Willis make for a very entertaining story. It ran for five seasons from 1985 to 1989. We've discovered a pastime over the next few weeks.

Good series for the first few seasons then got a little stale.
Funny thing is from what I remember, but could be wrong, they really didn’t like each other at all.

One of my favorite series.
Won’t spoil it, but the show jumped the shark when the dynamic between Maddie and David’s relationship changed.
Do bears bear?
Do bees bee?

The Taming of the Shrew episode is classic.
My whole family looked forward to this show every week.

The finale with Whoopi and Judd is pretty funny

I don't know. I quit watching.
They tried to regain the magic by having them get in a fight, but I think that just reminded people of their own boring relationships.

My friends and I spent an afternoon trying to pause a VHS tape we recorded where Cybil fell over in a dress. We were certain if we timed it right we could see panties. The life of a young boy in the 80s...

Remington Steele avoided this.
Interestingly, Glen Gordon Caron was the first supervising producer for RS. He would later produce Moonlighting

My memory is it was off the charts bad by 3rd season, so don’t get too comfortable.

A great series from the 80's. It was wildly popular and we loved it.

I don't think I recall a single storyline about a case;
It's 100% the chemistry between the 2.

Cybil Shepard was in ‘The Last Picture Show’ and was an absolute dime…
And I think Booger was on that show with some homely broad?
That’s what I remember

They would put Vaseline or something on the camera lens whenever there was a close up of Cybil Shepard. The rumor was it was to make her look younger during closeups.
I remember liking the show as a kid, though I can't really remember a specific episode, other than when they had Willis destroy his BMW in a parking garage
