I wanna know how much did Subway pay Madison Productions.

It seems that company funded the entire film; it's not only a product placement throughout the film but a big part of the film.

Happy Gilmore starts out with taking home Subway and talking about it and then Happy is at a Subway restaurant with that hot chick saying he just wants to enjoy his delicious Subway sandwich...

And then does a faux commercial for Subway in the movie.

ETA...stupid wording.

This one instantly came to mind because I laugh every time I see it due to it's blatancy. I love how all the labels were turned towards the camera.......

Truth be told, if we are going by the OP’s rule of “most blatant product placement where the filmmakers thought they were getting away with it”, this scene wins.

It’s especially obvious once you realize that Columbia Pictures was owned by Coca-Cola to begin with.

It was the other way around. Keep in mind this was before Jared was a thing. Subway was nowhere as big then as it is now. Sandler’s films get like a 1/3 or more of their budget from product placement.

I meant it the other way around.

Obviously I meant how much did Subway pay as I said they seemingly funded the entire movie.

This wasn’t accidental. Terminator 2 had a marketing tie-in with Subway. So, I guess they had to make sure these two little girls were eating Subway sandwiches.

[I mean, really, does anyone remember anyone under the age of 18 who ate Subway in the 90s?]

I can’t figure out why Subway didn’t run those Happy Gilmore commercials in real life
