How was the movie overall? Trying to avoid spoilers but can’t really tell if I would enjoy this.

It was weird but pretty good overall
Based loosely on the Letourneau deal with them having been married and their kids are either in college or finishing high school
The actor playing the dad was pretty good too

IDK, I watched it last night and thought it was pointless.

It's a perfect role that Hollywood press will love because it shows an actress getting into character for a role she is getting ready to film

Thought the movie was pretty good overall. Didn’t love the ending. Movie just kind of stopped. Thought Charles Melton stole the show though. Great performance.

I'll try not to spoil anything in my review but

Lots of themes around age and how/when children develop or don't develop into adults. The three main adult characters have all had different experiences with an 'untraditional' childhood. All seem to have missed important benchmarks in development and now are very complex adults. The graduating twins seem to be the ones with the "normal" upbringing and parents are having different reactions to it. Obvious the father stayed for the kids, but now that he is a mid-thirty empty nester, what will he do?

Very deep character film, well acted. Portman has a real shot at awards this year.

I thought it was a very interesting project for Portman who was only eleven when she did this.

Yep. No big reveals or plot wraps up or….anything, really.

Pointless seems like a perfect word. No plot twist, just exactly what I thought it would be. Boring...

Good acting, but the movie itself was a 6/10.

Watched this last night. I enjoyed it for the most part. Story was intriguing but it felt sloppily put together. Julianne Moore's statement at the end just felt extremely out of nowhere and I would've like to have seen that explored more.

Music was extremely soapy. It took away from everything else.

Acting is great. I think Oscar is still Lily Gladstone's, but Portman and Moore will both win Golden Globe because somehow they convinced the GGs to classify this as a comedy
