Natural Born Killers...in real life.

I was watching "Indecent Proposal" and noticed that Woody Harrelson was wearing a LSU baseball cap in the movie. As I always do, I goggled Harrelson to see if there was a Louisiana connection...there isn't.
I did come up with this:
"In 1979, in San Antonio, Federal Judge John H. Wood, Jr. was shot and killed by rifle fire by Woody's father Charles Harrelson, who was a freelance contract killer. He was convicted and eventually died during his life sentence in maximum security prison. Woody shares his birthday with his father."

Must have been extremely strange for him playing the part of Mickey Knox in Natural Born Killers.

I seem to remember references to his father being one of the suspects in the JFK killing when the Oliver Stone movie came out.

Didn't he say he played ball at "some junior college in Louisiana" in White Men Can't Jump? I know the brothers chasing after him and Rosie Perez had Louisiana plates on the van they drove.

Yeah, at the end the brothers make a comment about finally being able to show their face at Tipitina's again.

He talked about this in a magazine a few years back. Can't remember what year or which magazine, but I definitely remember reading about it and how he's tapped his emotions regarding his father to play certain roles.
ETA: and Woody is probably in my top 3 for favorite actors and I think he rarely gets the credit he deserves.
