According to Avatar News, the next animated series in the Avatar universe -- focusing on an earthbender who succeeds Aang and Korra as the Avatar -- is currently in the works at Avatar Studios and Paramount. The new series is said to be targeting a 2025 launch. Moreover, Avatar News reports that an animated movie featuring this new earth Avatar in their era is "coming to theaters in the years after the show comes out." While the Avatar-centric news outlet currently has no specific information regarding the film's release window, it does claim that it "won't be an insanely long wait."

The Last Airbender was great. The Legend of Korra was not but I finished watching recently.
Guess I’ll give it a shot but I have low expectations.

I remember thinking the bending sport of S1 was one of the more well thought out fictional sports.
Looking at quidditch for an example of stupid fictional games.
Actually, I think I liked all of S1. The main villain was well done, intimidating, and had a cool back story; and the world making bending obsolete was a cool angle to explore. Unfortunately, the show didn’t really keep my or my wife’s interest for very long after the first season.

LoK was good overall but not better than TLAB.
I'm definitely going to give this a shot.

I really loved portions of LoK. I did not like they played so much into the robotic stuff at the end. I wish they had kept it in that weird 1920s Hong Kong level

I’ll have higher than usual expectations if Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are running it. Assume they are since the IP is out of Avatar Studios and they run that.

Read the title thinking of the blue people, expecting the M/TV board to be in shambles.

I'm sure you can book this somewhere if you want, but you should really stop posting your fantasy pornography parodies on this board.

Season 3 was the best season by far with the first one right behind it

Season 3 then 1 Korra was as good as TLA, 3 was better. 4 shite the bed, 2 wasn’t terrible but nowhere near as good as anything else.

If it’s coming out of Avatar Studios they are, it’s the Netflix series that they’re not involved in

I hope they just limit the avatar chain break to Korra and the new avatar can still speak to all the old avatars. That was a stupid move to remove that from Korra.
