, there is zero reason for Rose to even be in the show
Really? She's kind of the driving force behind most of Peter's decisions. She puts together a lot of the puzzle pieces. Rose was one of the least pointless people it seemed to me.

SPOILERS

A completely pointless character was the Bala kid. He served absolutely no purpose. Nothing he did was consequential and his little side story took up 30 minutes of screen time.

Also Noor. God she sucked. Her intelligence didn't amount to anything and her brother and 2 police officers who were just doing there jobs were killed trying to get her family out. Javed was set up as some kind of bad guy but he was just a person doing his job who got distracted by the sexy unibrow. I felt bad for him. I'm not sure why the show writers felt the need to have him get fricked so hard at the end.

As much as I liked season 1, I thought 2 was pretty terrible. I only sit through these because the wife wants to finish it.

The story is decent even if the characters make terrible decisions. The acting can be subpar. It’s half CW half streaming in quality. Despite all that I enjoyed it - Really the best thing about the show is the pacing.

Yeah she participates, but the fact that she just showed up and joined some top secret non existent special spy force, and that this super elite spy force can't seem to get anything right without her help, and stupid lines from Catherine where they need her and have no other resources... That's just dumb.

I agree on Noor, I was actually pulling for Javed eventually.

I know people are shitting on Rose's acting, but the black lady handler might be the worst actress I've ever seen.

My history as a fire alarm/life safety system expert really gave me fits with Peter & Rose trying to start a fire and shut down the HVAC system.

During that entire 5 minute stretch, my brain was all:

Fair exchange for the things she has to "sit through" while waiting for you to finish.

Javad reverted to his Revolutionary Guard totalitarian training. frick that guy.

For 20 years we've had at least half our "elected officials" trying to install that kind of dictatorial regime, but instead of fundamentalist Islam, it's been the almighty Federal Government. Until 2017, they were getting away with it.

Started S2 E1, and it didn't grab me. I had rewatched the last ep of S1, just a refresher.

As a fan of Burn Notice, White Collar, NCIS, the Borne movies, Reacher... this comes off as more After School Special version of the secret agent show. Not terrible, but definitely 'less than'.

The scariest thing is that there's 10,000 people pulling strings behind the scenes like Monroe, and you'd never know their names.

I liked when he smashed the side mirror with guys head.

The writing and story is terrible. I don't know if anyone could have made the terrible writing better. It makes the acting seem bad. The best actor could have been Soloman.

Fun fact Louis Herthum is from Baton Rouge, I went to an opening party for his film the "Favorite Son" because SIL was a makeup person on the crew. He has had some pretty good charachter roles. It was filmed and the white wood frame house that is on Burbank.

Interesting premise with a lackluster finish.

Also, maybe the worst acting I have ever seen by the chief of staff lady.

Half way though the series - what is with the side quests in this series? Why on earth do I have to see the evil henchman negotiating for a 15% raise? Why do I have to spend time with the stupid Iranian family? This show needs some focus.

Yes, she is just awful. Her delivery is just weird. Then again, chief of staff’s delivery last year was weird as well. Not sure why they can’t find a decent supporting actor for this role.
