Opinions on the movie "Precious" (Spoilers)

The movie has about 20 minutes left and Precious just found out she has HIV. The way life smacks this individual around is very disheartening. I hope it has a good ending but I'm not going to hold my breath.

The way Gabourey Sidibe unabashedly portrays black BBW's is pretty brave.

pretty affecting movie. I don't know I'd want to watch it again. Mo'nique deserved every bit of her Oscar, that performance was up there with Nurse Ratched to me. That whole 'who was gonna love me' scene was intense.

Did you all know that the receptionist at the welfare office IS Mariah Carey. I thought it did look like her but she seems smaller in the movie than on that cd cover from the 90's where she's wearing that rainbow bikini.
