Oppenheimer Question: How did Dr. David Hill (Rami Malek) know about Strauss (RDJ)?

Hill makes it known in Strauss’s senate hearing that Strauss started the Oppenheimer character assassination.
Did they explain how he knew about it? I’ve watched it 3 times know and I completely missed it if they did.

I don’t think it’s shown. And it was probably a shrewd consensus guess on the part of the scientific community.

It's never explained. However, I think it's heavily implied that it's common knowledge when Kitty Oppenheimer goes on her tirade about how Strauss is behind all of it as she gets mad at her husband for refusing to fight the charges against him.

I don’t know do the movie explicitly says, but the scene where he testifies is accurate.
I’m not sure the book explained it either. I’m assuming it wasn’t a well kept secret in the scientific community.
