I watched this last night and wow that was tough to watch. For those who don’t know about this story - it’s about three teens brutally murdering three 8 year old kids in West Memphis, Arkansas.

This was an older film in the 90s and it was fascinating how they were able to get a lot of the footage from court, etc.

Even though it was difficult to watch this, it was interesting to me to watch how the suspects and their families acted throughout this entire documentary.

It pissed me off how the town, court system, etc treated the victim’s families during this entire ordeal.

I give the actual story a Grade F because it was horrific, but I give the actual documentary an HBO A+ Grade.

It’s a tough watch but a very interesting doc to watch.

Did you watch all 3 of them or just the first one?

I kinda don't want to spoil this true story if you haven't read about or seen the whole thing but there's been new developments in like the last 10-15 years.

I just looked on my Max app on my phone and it's shows all 3 episodes. They are all 2+ hours. One in 96, one in 2000 and one in 2012.

I enjoy the documentaries, but after looking into the cases more, I think they are guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Then you are an idiot. Fortunately, the justice system these days is structured to overcome common idiocy, as it did here.

Did you base this opinion on these incredibly "objective" documentaries?

Do you think that the Making a Murderer clown is innocent too?

I hadn't followed the case closely at the end. Watched the first 2 documentaries forever ago. I feel like MTV and 60 Minutes also did specials about the case. If they were guilty I can't see why Arkansas made the decision they did at the end. I'm still trying to defer to not spoiling something that happened over 10 years ago.

The investigation was sloppy, to say the least. I'm not saying that they're definitely guilty. Just that these films were very slanted and left a lot of details out...not unlike the Making a Murder series.

But it got Johnny Depp and Eddie Vedder on board and got them out on an Alford plea, so "mission accomplished", I guess.

The suspects are out. I watched all three a couple years ago and im not sure what I believe. Johnny depp became an activist to the main suspect not believing he was guilty. Think the hardest part was seeing the remains as they found them.

If you look at the type of adults the kids were surrounded by you can tell that it’s very possible the kids were lured by someone they knew and thought they could trust.

Holy shite, dude, you should finish this series out to the end before you comment like this.

The town, the cops, the court, the victim's families...they all fricked over the West Memphis Three.

In a likelihood, one of the victim's fathers is the one who murdered them, or a random drifter.
