Poldark- Season 5

This is the only season I have a problem with re-watching. The first four seasons had a great progression and didn't feel as disjointed as Season 5.
Main gripes:
1. I didn't like the actor or actress who played Ned and Kitty Despard. They both gave me no sense of empathy or identification. Perhaps the writing of the characters was a bit too broad but the actor and actress themselves had no charisma or likeability.
2. George descending into delusion. This was also not an enjoyable turn and gave me no satisfaction of hating George that I enjoyed so much in previous seasons. Maybe if they had kept Osbert alive it could have provided some relief. Elizabeth's death should have triggered some awesome evil plans from George. It's fun to hate a good heel.
3.Tess Tregiddan was all smoke and no fire. She's painted in very broad strokes and seems almost comical in the way she's portrayed as being an arch-type serf ringleader. She's no Tom Harry that's for sure.
4. Needed more Caroline Enys. Needed to see some of Verity also. Wanted to see how she was getting along. Some of the better characters IMO.
Good things:
1. I like the new Geoffrey Charles much better than season 4's version. He and Cecily Hanson made for a good story line.
2. Ralph Hanson and his brother as the evil team- up. This was enjoyable . Uncle Warleggan was off his game this season.
3. The setting of Parliament. Loved the story lines and setting of Parliament in Seasons 4 and 5. Using the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich as a set was brilliant and beautiful to look at.
This is in my rotation of late night before bed Masterpiece(or the like) relaxion viewing. On my fourth watch of the series and it does just keep getting a little better upon re-watch, but the last season is just not a satisfying way to end it though. Great series overall but season 5 is lacking.

I thought you had already watched the series, but here's a timeline if you're interested.

Glad it's gotten 5 seasons. Started watching a while ago but tapped out for some reason.
Generally a good watch and glad to see Aiden getting a solid series. I liked him since he was on Being Human (BBC version)

Here's Demelza to get us back on track.

I don't think I made it to season 5. The last season I watched was when they started back working the mines. I enjoyed some of it, but after two or three seasons, I realized it was more romance than adventure/history. I did the same thing with Outlander. They both just got ole fast for me.

What’s wild is I’ve watched this entire series and don’t remember a single character you are mentioning

This may prompt a rewatch…

I was pulling for George by the time I stopped watching. I stopped after season 4. I couldn't take it anymore.
