Prison Break - is it any good?

I am looking for an older show to get into and Prison Break comes to mind.

However, I canceled my Netflix a few months ago and the entire Prison Break series is on there.

If it's solid, I have no problem paying for Netflix to stream this show, but if it sucks, I don't want to waste my money on Netflix

The reviews online look like it's great, but I figured I have a lot more in common with TD members about what to watch on TV and at the movies.

Thanks

I watched it a long time ago and didn’t make it to the end. IIRC it got very repetitive

I just finished it. Not worth a sub for. First season was good, second was not as good and the other 3 were just repetitive and not remotely realistic.

Now, there is lots of action, but it really went off the rails after season 2.

Classic example of a series that could have been awesome if they were brave enough to bring it to a timely close.

Agree that it starts off wonderfully but just goes nowhere after a while.

Just like a prison sentence. Wait what?

I just started it myself. I'm 6 episodes in and I like it.

Starts off good.

I actually was a fan of Dominic Purcell's prior show, John Doe. One season, good luck finding that one.

It was good, but had a lot of silly plotlines and stuff, but worth a watch.

First couple of seasons were entertaining. Not worth spending money on in my mind. Pretty far fetched.

The first season was great. The second didn't drop off much. Similar to the Walking Dead, at some point you will find yourself wanting to keep watching while also wanting to stop. I felt like it sort of ended decently after all the crazy stuff in the last few seasons, but it was chaotic and all over the place. Just watch Season one and two and stop there.

Watch the first season and assume it ends there and it’s awesome
