Question about scene from The Hangover

The guys are getting on the elevator before their 1st night in Vegas. As the doors open, there's a blonde who is getting off her knees and a curley headed guy in sunglasses. The scene just seems kinda stuck in there for no apparent reason. Can anyone explain?

Did you stick around to watch the credits?

The guy with the curly hair was the director. He also made a cameo in Old School. He was the guy who knocked on the door and said he was "here for the gang bang."

I didn't think about it until now. I guess it was just supposed to be funny. I must be misremembering because I thought the guy was going down on her. After he got up he said "going up?" Like kind of a joke since he was going down?

just a harbinger of the "anything goes in vegas" theme to come

The curly haired guy is the director, by the way.
Damn, too late.

Lexo,
I thought I had seen that guy before in another movie. I think he was wearing the same clothes he was wearing in Old School.

I think I remember on one of the trailers that the people in the elevator seen the tiger and freaked out. They probably just cut the rest of the scene for whatever reason.

Wasn't it the guy getting off his knees?

Directed Juno and Up in the Air.
Like a couple other people said, the guy in the elevator is Todd Phillips the director. He always makes cameos like that, that's the joke. Nothing more to it.

Showing off what I learned in college... it's called a Hitchcock, in reference to Alfred who always popped up for a second in his own movies.

Very cool, never heard it called that before. The best was Hitchcock's story that takes place in a life raft. He worked in his cameo by having his picture on the front of the newspaper they had with them. But I'm guessing you probably knew that since you knew the "Hitchcock" term.

Actually, no, I didn't. I just remember the term Hitchcock from when I majored in Communications at SLU. I wonder if anyone still uses it as most of the younger generation probably aren't really familiar with him.
