If you haven't put this one on your series list, go ahead and move it to the top. It's genius. Every guy here will love the main character, Cleaver Greene. This gives Californication a run for it's money in terms of comedy writing.
4 seasons with a 5th due in the future.

quote:
Richard Roxburgh plays Cleaver Greene, a talented but self-destructive barrister who uses unconventional methods and usually defends those beyond redemption. With unyielding optimism he takes on only the most difficult court cases that no one else wants, from suicide bombing to sex offences and thefts to psychotic school girl drama. At the same time the Sydney barrister tries to put his personal life in order, where his addiction to short term highs and women land him into trouble

I've watched it through 3 or so times. Easily one of my favorite series, but it does jump the shark quite a few times

My God, isn't it hilarious? I stumbled on it having never even seen it mentioned here or anywhere.

I was current a few years before it was on Netflix. I watch Masterchef Australia live and saw a promo for it a few years ago, so I started watching it.
I binged it again when it was on Netflix.
If I wouldn't get disbarred for it, I'd say Cleaver is my role model
The real hero though is Harry - sorry, David. Just a tax man trying to do his job

I liked it, but it does have the Californication and House MD hilariousness where people still want to have something to do with a frankly horrendous human being.
