Reacher Season 3 Discussion

Watched the first episode when it dropped last night. The first episode is promising. I liked the pacing, storyline, and writing. I enjoyed season 2 but not as much as the first season. Here's to hoping it continues on an upward swing. Nice to see Anthony Michael Hall and the interplay between Reacher and the Giant looks to be satisfying. Too early to tell but I seem to like the lead federal agent. She's just ballsy enough without being over the top. We'll see.

Going to watch this evening. Just saw a short interview clip with Richardson explaining about how he wasn't happy with the fighting choreography and way the scenes were shot.
Said they went above and beyond before he agreed to make season 3.

I was about to go to bed when I noticed the series had dropped. Intended to wait until tonight but the excitement got to me. The best of intentions...but saved the next two episodes for tonight. Looking forward to more.

Watched first three. I like that it's based on the last archer book i read so it's fresh in my mind this time.

I think they would have done well to hold that adaptation off till season 4 or something. They tried too hard to make it a buddy cop show on season 2 when there should have been more seasons of building him up.
If it was the fourth season you’d just think it was meh instead of half the series sucking.

Only thing i didnt care for about S2 was the pointless back story for characters that were disposable. Other than that was plenty entertaining.

Watched the first 2 episodes. At first I was like WTF? Reacher wouldn't do that!
Then it got explained.
For once Reacher isn't the biggest man in the room.

So far, this is a much better start than the absolute dogshit that was S2 and it’s incessant “special investigators” name drop over and over again.
Small town. Condensed cast. Just Reacher, the next hottie, and great action. Still doesn’t beat Willa Fitzgeralds nudity in S1, but a massive cut above the meandering S2 shite.

Haven’t watched the season yet, but I will say the book this one is based on is one of my favorite Reacher stories and one of Child’s best books. I have high hopes for this season.
