They only had 2 days to rehearse that, just as a side note.

For all his 'antics', off set, his Scientology, no one can say he's not a consummate professional when it comes to perfecting his craft and putting everything into making the very best he can.

I want a piece of one of those cakes he sends out at Christmas to his friends.

To be sure, dude is crazier than a shithouse rat. I'm certain he's convinced that Xenu himself is watching over him and protecting him as he does all of these insane stunts, otherwise he'd never try them.

If it is the will of Xenu.

And let's not forget, he's not 25 years old anymore either.

It sounds like he's the reason Maverick didn't blow arse. Insisted on real planes, theater release, as little CGI as possible, etc.

Certainly a loon, but the dude makes good movies.

Anyone that likes as a person Tom Cruise hasn’t bothered to look into more than just watching some of his movies. Dude is nuts and his kid even wants nothing to do with him.

He’s a decent actor in some good movies though.

If i cared about celebrities personal lives and used that as a metric for what i did and didnt watch, I would have to just get rid of my TV's

This isn't a review of the movie "Collateral". It's explaining how the seemingly super friendly and ultimate good guy action movie star slides into the role of a psychopathic assassin so easily and convincingly.

The unspoken premise here is that Tom Cruise is not a super friendly, wholesome guy. He just tries so hard to be. The character of Vincent is much closer to what Tom Cruise really is than any other character he's ever played.

FWIW Christian Bale used Cruise's over the top extrovert interview style as an inspiration for his serial killer character in American Psycho.

I feel roughly the same about Cruise as I did about Michael Jackson. You can't deny the quality of material that he produced. But I wouldn't trust him with my children.

So far as I know there's no sexual abuse but the Scientology methods of rearing children are unacceptably abusive between the forced labor, separation from non Scientology family members, and the grilling of their members for secrets to the used as blackmail if needed. There's a decent book written by Miscavich's niece that details what it's like to be a child when you join the Scientology church.

Yeah, they mention that in the video I posted.

I wonder what the author was going for.

Katy Holmes seemed to approve.

I was in Pittsburg back in 2011 for the LSU-WVU football game. We went bar hoping on Friday night. Came out of a bar downtown and we Saw Tom and Katy walking with 2 big arse bodyguards. He was filming the first Reacher movie. They were kinda just minding their own business and seemed like a normal couple sans the 2 behemoth black dudes.
