Bateman played Scott Howard in Teen Wolf Too...do you think he was better than when Fox played the role?

I don’t know. Jason Bateman didn’t really come into his own as an actor until he became an adult. Look at Teen Wolf Too. He wasn’t very good and he had the same experience as MJF (both had extensive runs on popular sitcoms).
Bateman is dryer and more a sarcastic straight man where Fox had a really undeniable charisma. It’s the reason Zemekis wanted him from the jump and quickly dumped Stoltz when Fox came available.
