I think it's filmed in Charleston or somewhere near there.

Most is filmed in the old Sears at Citadel Mall.

That was a great mall until maybe ten years ago. It went downhill fast and there’s almost nothing left.

The mega church is filmed at North Charleston Coliseum.

Yep....I was just in Sullivan's island and a lot of the crew is there

EB&D was filmed in the Grand Strand (Myrtle Beach).

Vice Principals, Halloween, and TRG were all filmed in Charleston. I can show y’all were a lot of the scenes for each of the three were filmed at.

Pretty sure I saw Goggins when they were filming down here but didn’t believe it was him. Of course I didn’t know he was in the show at the time.

Oh yeah for you VP watchers, the scene in season one with the kids in the pool at the hotel, I have a friend who works at that hotel. They only filmed up in the suites for 2 days, but rented the entire floor out for a week. The boutique that Russell wound up working at is still open in the other traditional mall in Charleston.

So I've got two friends who both worked this season during filming.

One a limo driver and the other a former limo driver who now mostly handles production stuff like entertaining the actors when they are not filming and making sure the catering is up to snuff.

They are filming all over the state. In and around Charleston, Conway, Myrtle Beach, Tega Cay and Pawley's Island.

They have actually used some of Jim and Tammy Faye Baker's old compound as well ... or at least they have been scouting more locations there.

Almost all of the 2018 filming was done in and around Charleston though apparently.

The restaurant is Liberty Tap Room on 17 in Mount P. The family compound is pieced together with several areas of the surrounding islands.

The harbor got some love in the yacht scene. Thought it was funny that they were kind of masking that they were filming in Charleston by calling Citadel Mall the Eastland Mall when the news report that Eli was listening to clearly says Charleston a couple of times.

Love that it got renewed for a second season. Between that and the next two Halloween movies, Danny is going to be in Charleston quite a bit over the next 2-3 years. Jamie Lee Curtis loved filming in Charleston and she was always pleasant to folks in the area. In fact, they had a little news article showing a girl who took a picture with her outside of Target (I saw that pic a couple of days beforehand on the young woman’s tinder profile) and that Target is attached to the other side of Citadel Mall where they filmed the Locust Grove church.

Gemstone Compound is Fenwick Plantation, Opening scene in 1st episode is Whirlin' Waters Wave pool, and all Rave Scenes filmed at the old Navy Yard Power House...BEST group to ever work with! Cant wait for Season 2. ?

There was a nice revitalization plan going around for the Citadel Mall area but West Ashley stubborn asses hate tourists so they want to “preserve” their “character”.
