Lance Colby Waldroup, 30, of Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at his residence.
A native of Graham County, he was the son of Jeff and Lynn Cape Waldroup of Robbinsville, NC. Growing up Lance was extremely close to his sister Lyndsey. Lyndsey loved to cook and Lance loved to eat! His sister Lyndsey had Cystic Fibrosis and she passed away when she was 11 years old. Lance was also close to his brother Lamar and they did everything together. His brother Lamar also had Cystic Fibrosis and had to have a lung transplant. Lamar lived for 1 1/2 years with the lung transplant and did pass away when he was 20 years old. This left Lance with no siblings. Lance suffered from extreme "Survivor's Guilt" and he eventually turned to drugs. He was an addict for several years and then decided to turn his life around. He went to rehab and had become a recovered addict. His mother Lynn was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and Lance knew he had to be there for her. He quit Moonshiners to take care of his mother full time doing all the cooking and cleaning. He did not want to leave her side and waited on her hand and foot.
Lance and his father, Jeff, had recurring roles on the TV show “Moonshiners” for several seasons, where they developed many lasting friendships. Eventually Lance and Jeff left the Moonshiner show and Jeff went back to his other career full time. Since November 2020, Jeff has been out of work due to the weather and COVID. They have been going through some hard times with Lynn being sick and being out of work.
The Waldroup family is devastated over Lance passing. It was unexpected.
Lance had such a kind loving soul and was always there for others in need. When Lance and his Dad were part of the TV show "Moonshiners," Jeff and Lance would be coordinating multiple fundraisers to help others in need. They would travel to other states to help raise money for others at their own expense.
We would like to give back to the Waldroup family in this time of need. We are looking to help raise as much money as possible in the next few weeks to be able to present to the family for a proper burial. It is moments like these to help get one of our own through this most difficult time.
We would really appreciate anything you can donate - no amount is too small. All the money raised will go to the Waldroup family to support them in their time of need.
You are welcome to attend the visitation and service
Visitation is This Saturday March 6th at 11am
Service will be 1-2
Cedar Cliff Baptist Church
1308 W Buffalo Rd,
Robbinsville, NC 28771
We will do the best to keep everyone updated as we learn more.
Thank you very much in advance. I know the Waldroup family would be there for all of us!
Joey and Karen Bailey are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Jeff Waldroup.
