Sarah Michelle Gellar knows more than what you did last summer, she knows she’s joining Searchlight’s Radio Silence sequel Ready Or Not: Here I Come with genre vet Elijah Wood, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, and David Cronenberg rounding out the cast. Cameras are rolling in Toronto today.
All of them join previously announced Samara Weaving and Kathryn Newton in the Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy penned script.

not exactly sure what's left to tell of the story since that whole family died besides Samara Weaving's character

The first one was a fun film. This one's likely a cash grab, but I'll still watch it

loved the laugh/snort Samara did when the family was being killed off

At least they did the right thing with the title: "Ready Or Not: Here I Come"

Look at Buffy go. Good for her.

How is she supposed to explain the whole family just exploding?

As long as Radio Silence is back to direct, it’s going to be good

This, unless it's about another family that struck a similar deal with the devil for wealth and power. Wouldn't it have made more sense to do a prequel instead? I hope they don't throw the whole backstory out the window just to keep the franchise going. If you recall, Alex told Grace that she was only the 2nd person ever to draw the hide and seek card, the first was Aunt Helene's husband, so it's not like they've been murdering dozens of people over the years.

I think the husband was just the first he was around more because when she fell into that pit in the barn there was more bodies

The first movie was an underrated gem.

That was always my thought. I believe the patriarch says something to this effect at some point in the original.
ETA from Digital Spy:
quote:
Much like Get Out switched from a darker ending to a crowd-pleasing one, Ready or Not did exactly the same.
"The ending was much different, initially, when we first got the script. A lot darker," executive producer Chad Villella told Bloody Disgusting, adding that it saw Alex, Grace's husband, kill her and the Le Domas family get away with it.
quote:
Changing the ending wasn't the only smart decision they made, as there was originally a coda without Grace.
We would have seen two people walk into a Le Bail conference with a "whole bunch of rich people", according to Villella. The idea being that it's not only the Le Domas family who made this particular deal with the devil.
But that would have taken away from the brilliant final scene where Grace is met by the police at the mansion who are wondering just what the hell happened.
Her reply is up there with the best final scenes of 2019: "In-laws."

I thought those were the bodies of the maids, but you may be right. Maybe he meant that she was the only one since Helene's husband.

Met Samara Weaving at a showing for the first one, super down to earth and nice. Didn't really know much about her at the time but definitely will support things she's in.
