I’m praying this isn’t the end of Irving but it was a dramatic send off that it may be.

Seth looking fly af in his ORTBO outfit.

He gave a riveting narration of Kier and Dieter’s time in the woods with Miss Huang providing an excellent score. RIP Dieter. I’m sad we won’t get Chapter 2: Kier and the Thieving Nanny.

I bet those marshmallows would have made excellent s’mores. Seth was a real dick to throw those into the fire.

I’m glad we got the confirmation that Helena was a mole and it was revealed to the characters. This and Mark’s reintegration happened far sooner than I expected and we aren’t even halfway through the season.

RIP Irving B?

Just wow. This show.

When they had sex, you could tell right then it wasn’t Helly. Mark looked like a goofy spent teenager. She looked like a satisfied cougar. I thought it was was her outie before, but I knew for sure at that point.

I think Irv may be gone for a while, but will be back at some point.

Damn that was intense.

So I guess Mark’s reintegration is going to creep in slowly? Was the flash of Gemma because his outtie’s consciousness was breaking through, or was it guilt because he was actually there all along?

Anyone else wonder how they all wound up scattered in the woods? Like.. did they tell outtie Irv to walk out into the middle of a frozen lake and then flip the switch? At first glance it seems like a bit of a plot hole, but this show doesn’t really do that. I’m guessing we see the time between Mark’s reintegration and waking up in the woods next week.

When Helly said she was ashamed of her life on the outside, I started to think it really was her.

I’m sure it was for the same reason they stagger them on the elevators. They don’t want the oughties to know who the others are.

He just kinda blurted it out

Hole E shite.

That was a slow roll intense. I heart this show.

Too much for me to unpack right now, but I love that Dan/Ben aren’t slow rolling the audience with Helena/Helly, other shows would make that their cliffhanger:

I feel so much for all the mains. Dylan to Irv from the cliff is nuts. fricking Irving man.

So, I had an idea that Mark’s reintegration was going to have issues, but probably later on and not as severe as Petey’s.

This entire episode had me thinking this is from Mark’s new reintegration perspective, which would be really weird and just piecing the two worlds together in a crazy space.

Roll with that the way I’m thinking about it, and you can see how Helena is outed, Irving is outed, Mark’s brain is just now trying to meld two worlds.

I don’t understand a few things:
1. Mark is newly reintegrated, yet now decides to sleep with his coworker?? I’d have thought he’d be much more focused on finding his wife now, with his two selves combined. He’d be overjoyed with having been with her at work and now realizing she’s truly alive.
Sleeping with Helly would have made much more sense before his reintegration.

2. Helena being a smartass/ disrespectful about the Deiter Eagan story. How does that work with her mole mission? If their goal is to keep Mark S focused on completing Cold Harbor, I’d think she’d not try to create division in the group like she did.

1) I think reintegration is a process and doesn’t happen overnight

2) I have nothing to say to that not sure what that was about

This was supposed to be a team bonding occurrence. When has Lumon’s intent matched what the severed employees are told? The whole thing reeked of aiming to bust up the team. Mission accomplished.

I get trying to divide the MDR team to stop them from working together to escape their confines.

But for Helena to openly disrespect the Eagan myth seems like it would undermine the team’s motivation to complete Lumen’s mission at hand: Cold Harbor.

I doubt Cold Harbor has anything directly to do with the Eagan teachings. They may influence Mark to completion by either following or rebellion. We don’t know what the aim of CH is.

Not sure if we know this. Not really clarified in episode

ETA This series is full of plot holes and unclear timelines but still highly watchable for the WTF factor alone.
