She’ll soon head back to New Zealand, where she’s been at work filming the live and CGI portions of the long-awaited, effects-driven Avatar sequels. (Because her Avatar character died at the end of the 2009 original, she’ll be playing someone new in the next four installments, the first of which is scheduled for the big screen in 2021.) She’s also set to reunite with Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd in the new Ghostbusters, due July 2020. “It’s going to be crazy working with the guys again!” she says. She won’t reveal any details except to confirm she’s reprising her role as hauntee Dana Barrett.

frick them. Should have done it while Harold Ramis was alive. They had all this time and the desire from fans, and they sat on it, opening the door for that dumpster fire in 2016. I'll just continue to rewatch the original 2 films.

I'm hoping a lot of the original cast who are still alive will have a role in it as their original characters.

I'm hoping Egon won't be replaced with Seth Rogen or some similar a-hole.

You know who should be in this? Tom Hanks should be in this, as a way-too-serious professor who joins the group. He hasn't done a good live action comedy in years, but he's a master of it and unlike a younger actor, his personality wont be overpowered by Murray and the others.

They should promote Louis to full fledged Ghostbuster to fill Egon's spot. They could also have Dana's kid, who would now be 30, as a new member or trainee or something like that.

You'd need a really funny younger guy, but instead, you'd get fricking Adam Driver or something like that.

Adam Sandler could deliver classic lines like

"Oooooooo you want a piece of this ghost. You can have the WHOLE thing"

Yeah, no.

But you could have Eddie Murphy in it, since he was supposed to be in the original. That would be fairly awesome.

Didn’t we just have the best possible sequel to the original with the women? How can that be topped?

I'm highly skeptical of this movie because it seems like it's one of those reboots in disguise pretending to be a sequel.

the second they said the plot was about some stupid teenage kids being trained I immediately lost interest.

Ghostbusters 3 could have been made at any point after 2 was released, but Bill Murray was the one holdout. That opened the door to the feminazi Ghostbusters movie to be made, which he agreed to make a lame cameo in.
