If everything you didn’t watch was canceled, we’d only have losers on YouTube to keep us entertained.

*Independent creators on Rumble & YouTube produce superior content.
You may want to rethink your 'insult'.

I’ll let you know when nerdrotic wins an Emmy since you won’t be watching

Than shows like The Bear, Succession, The White Lotus, Beef, etc.? That just seems like an incredibly silly declaration.
Listen, I generally don’t watch award shows because it can get boring but I do like watching highlights and speeches. There were some good ones last night.

Not sure YouTube, Rumble etc.. qualify for the Emmy's, but thanks?

He wouldn’t know. He doesn’t watch them and his YouTubers only talk about shows they can complain about.

Is there an award show for the YouTubers who provide preconceived “reactions” to films/TV so that their audiences can feel validated in their beliefs?

But how can you have an opinion if you did't watch the ENTIRE SHOW???

See how that works, people?
Watch or don't, that's personal choice. But I think the industry and fans in general would be better served if those who were RUNNING these shows eased up on the lecturing and messaging to us little folk in the hinterlands.

1994 - Best Original Song - Can You Feel the Love Tonight
2019 - Best Original Song - (I’m Gonna) Love Me Again (Rocketman)

You’re purposely being obtuse. I’m not critiquing the award show. Just acknowledging it exists.

Ok? This is about Elton John getting his EGOT. Maybe go bitch about that in another thread.

The most surprising thing from that list is that Elton didn’t win a Grammy until 1987

I’m also surprised he didn’t win more for The Lion King soundtrack all together. He had a ton of nominations for it.
For the Grammys he was nominated as early as 1971 for Best New Artist and Album of the Year. Got nominated multiple times in the late 70s for Best Male Pop Performance (Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me, Daniel) and for his duo with Kiki Dee.

Some shows I've not gotten around to watching. Some I don't even have access because I don't sub to the streaming service. Often, I'll avoid watching something if everyone is talking about it. Not always, but that seems to be the general case. I prefer to not follow the herd. There are times they'll get it right, but not always.
I just tend to go where my interests take me.

They give plenty of praise, when it's warranted. Sadly, there's so much trash being pitched as AMAZING! entertainment in current day, they're forced to comment on what's out there.
Good things as of late include...
Arcane
SISU
The Iron Claw
Top Gun: Maverick
Godzilla Minus One
John Wick 4
One Piece
Blue Eye Samuri
RRR
Everything Everywhere All At Once.
The Northman
Nimona
MEGAN
Extraordinary Attorney Woo
Just a random, top of head sampling. Clearly not all are for everyone, or top-level entertainment. Some simply deliver exactly what they mean to. Your taste may vary.
*bold - indicates things I've seen.
ETA - Yay Elton!!! Woo hoo!

i don't disagree with that statement about dramas or shows, but i'm more likely to laugh at a podcast than i am SNL (outside of the Bargatze episode,) Trevor Noah, Kimmel, Meyer, etc.
Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar is more informative and offers more analysis and broad viewpoint than any cable or network news show.
but... no, some youtube creator isn't going to make a better drama than the Bear.

The Emmys Oscars and Tonys do mean something to the people in each of those arts. And to people who enjoy movies, TV and the performing arts.
