Within a few months of scanning that print, we were able to obtain a scan of another 70mm print of ESB (and Jedi!) and this other 70mm Empire print is a blow up of the 35mm version. (The 70mm 6 track magnetic sound from this print is included with 4K80.) Either way, it’s all very exciting stuff, so we’re certainly not about to hang up the mouse and consider our work here to be done.

To date, we have scans of eight 35mm, four 16mm, and two 8mm theatrical prints of Star Wars, four 35mm, one 16mm, one 8mm, and two 70mm prints of Empire, and at least five 35mm prints and one 70mm print of Return of the Jedi (though the latter had really bad Vinegar Syndrome so I’m not sure all of it will be useable).

We have also scans of three 35mm Special Edition prints of Star Wars, two Special Edition prints of The Empire Strikes Back and two Return of the Jedi SE prints – which includes a complete SE trilogy set in German.
