To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the premiere of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, the final film in the prequel trilogy, Episode III will be re-released in theaters on April 25, 2025, running in select U.S. theaters and international territories for one week only. Screenings will be available in several formats, including, for the first time, 4DX. From the exhilarating battles over the planet of Coruscant to the fiery volcanic high grounds of Mustafar, relive this pivotal chapter in the Skywalker saga; the 4DX experience features high-tech motion chairs that sync with over 21 effects, all designed to complement the narrative of the film.

Despite Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones being bad, I actually like RotS quite a bit so I’ll probably go see it.

Disney destroyed the franchise.

This thing jumped the shark decades ago.

I am all the way OUT!

Yuck. I wouldn't even go to the cinema to watch Lucas' bastardized "Special Editions".

Revenge of the Whiny arse Punk Who Thinks He's Darth Vader, But is in Fact, Not?

No thank you.

I agree. It looks especially good next to what came after. I remember skipping out on work to catch a matinee and it was a great theater experience. What an opening scene. Just wild.

Yeah I don't get the hate in here. The prequels aren't great, but Phantom and Sith are pretty solid, especially Sith. Clones is pretty bad overall, but still an enjoyable enough SW movie.

I may have to see about taking my son to this. He loves the SW movies.

This is the 4th best Star Wars movie in my opinion, above Return of the Jedi. WIthout the Luke and Vader stuff, the movie would be arse.

Empire Strikes Back
A New Hope
Rogue One
Revenge of the Sith

i have great memories of seeing this in the theater in the summer of 2005. i was working at Camp Ozark in Arkansas and went to see it in the little old school theater in Hot Springs on a night off.

i thought it was awesome when it came out, then i thought it aged poorly, but then it sort of reversed that trend and now seems pretty solid again.

word to the wise - if you like this movie, dont watch Mr Plinkett's review

The order 66 montage and Mustafar fight are worth seeing in theaters if they never have been.

Terrible movie..... until the Kennedy Saga upgraded it into just a not very good one.

Yeah, I think I'll go catch it.

This was definitely the best of the prequels. My big issue with that trilogy was the kiddie "roger roger" robots and Jar Jar stuff, this minimizes that.

Great hype for Episode III. Still remember the first trailer.

Originally titled Dark Redemption. I remember seeing that on the old site Countingdown.com

there's an entire three stooges sequence between R2 and a couple of super battle droids. one kicks R2 over. i think there's an oil slick gag. it's a real hoot.

When Kathleen Kennedy said she didn’t want original Star Wars fans, she pretty much nailed the coffin shut on the franchise’s future. But she made sure with the “the Force is female“ nonsense.
