five episodes in. Not bad so far, not bad at all. Harrison Ford doing a good job as always.

Not a bad storyline. Ser Bronn of the Blackwater is doing a great job as a villain. The plot is somewhat plausible.

What the hell is going on with the nuns beating the hell, make that torturing the girls? Can't blame that Indian girl for killing those two nuns and running away. Not at all.

As for the Spencer and Alex storyline, I kind of dig it. It's what Out of Africa SHOULD have been. Much more interesting. The actor reminds me of the guy who played Hemingway in Midnight in Paris the scene where she read the letters to him was really touching.

That shite was pretty horrific. We really did some awful things to the Indians.

1923 is so good. Can't wait for season 2 to wrap up the story.

lots of GOT alums. Alex and Spencer are amazing and one of the highlights. The beautiful scenery of Africa was great. The cast is great and Helen Mirren knocks it out of the park.

Yellowstone main problem was getting so popular around season 3 and milking so many seasons. If it just would have been 3 seasons it would have been great. That is why 1883 and 1923 are surpassing Yellowstone.

This

My only gripe is that I wish they showed more in between 1883 and 1923. How they settled there and started the ranch and built it up etc.

Maybe they can still focus on that in 1944 with flashbacks or something.

It's hard to see how actress Michelle Randolph plays 2 such very different rolls in 1923 (Elizabeth) and Landman (Aynsley)

1923

Maybe.

But from what my Cajun PawPaw told me, the nuns were pretty brutal. He spoke French only until he went to school which was a Catholic school in Mansura. The nuns forbid French and insisted on English only.

He said they would beat your arse if you spoke any French, even on the playground. In general he said they were pretty rough.

Yes, I’m sure it was nothing like what Sheridan portrays, but I’m just saying there’s some truth there.

Agreed
And
Agreed

It’s pathetic, but the woke mind virus is dug I’m pretty deep.

I haven’t started Landman yet but I’ve heard it’s not as bad with that one.

And they did awful things to us as well. Would take babies and smash their heads against rocks and trees. String intestines of their enemies up in trees to ward away bad spirits. If they respected you they would eat your heart thinking it would give them powers.

Oh yeah, Uncle Benji. Barely remembered him. I've tried to forget those last two seasons, you understand.

Since I asked about the nuns, been doing some reading online. Apparently the government established a bunch of boarding schools and took kids away from their tribes. The different denominations ran them and could get pretty brutal.
