Pretty creepy.

This was made by the same guy who did Barbarian.

Starring Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Benedict Wong, and Alden Ehrenreich.

Plot revolves around the reaction of a small community after 17 kids mysteriously disappear overnight at exactly 2:17 AM.

I wonder if this is a Pied Piper type story with a monster luling the kids away.

Big Horror year for 2025 it seems

Barbarian was very well crafted, but the character actions were so profoundly stupid for a film that seemed to take itself seriously. Not to mention how powerful the ‘monster’ was defied all sense of logic.

Agreed. The amount of times they would specifically show you a character making a concious decision/choice repeatedly that was smart, to almost immediately stop doing that thing as the main way to progress the plot was maddening.

If it had ended before Justin Long appeared, I wouldn't have hated it. The second half of the movie was such a wtf 30 minutes I just checked out.

Intrigued on this one. a Pied piper type monster movie is a story I think can be very interesting, if that is what it ends up being.

I hope thats what it is, or perhaps a witch has arrived and snags the children.

For sure. Lots of ways it could go and could be a new classic monster created.

Variety writes, "We can’t stress how upsetting some of this footage was – featuring children sleepwalking giddily as if possessed, running into the pitch dark. The final moments of the trailer revealed a terrifying figure hiding deep in the woods, one that looked overwhelmingly like a female clown."

the actual trailer has been shown to some already.

This is for sure gonna be some crazy arse Pied Piper situation stealing the kids.

BitDefender won't let me access the MaybrookMissing.com website shown at the end of the trailer.

I hope it doesn't end up being just a creepy clown, that would be a bit of a letdown.

I have admiration for Barbarians. It’s first act development is a masterclass. The movie has a unique structure even if the second half asks a ton from the audience.
