The Bear Season 2 Episode 7 “Forks” is one of the best episodes of TV

At least in the last decade. Really, you could say that about Fishes (Episode 6 as well) but god damn this episode fricking kills and instantly reenforced why Richie is my favorite character on that show. What an amazing arc for his character that worse writers would have just made him into an antagonist or just a joke of a character.
Olivia Colman is fantastic in her scenes with Richie as well. Really all the guest actors they brought in this season: Bob Odenkirk, Jamie Lee Curtis, Will Poulter, etc. have all killed it.

Good show if you can tolerate extreme amounts of yelling and tension. The cinematographer is obviously in love with the city of Chicago and close-ups of faces.

I loved Honeydew (Denmark) and Fishes, but Forks was my favorite thing I saw on TV in a long time. Richie’s character arc has been the best.

Agreed. Forks is just goat, but the quiet & meticulous Denmark episode was such a fantastic respite from the madness.

Is that the episode where they yell at each other?

No, that was Fishes.
Not that they don't yell plenty in almost every episode.

Watched it about 2 weeks ago. A perfect episode of tv. One of my favorites up there with
“The Constant” -Lost
“Why don’t he love me” Fresh Prince
“Isaac and Ishmael” West Wing

“Dear Billy” from the last season of Stranger Things is the only episode that comes close to it that I’ve seen recently.
Both absolute masterpieces.

Not you, but why do people get so upset about the yelling? I see lots of comments about not being able to handle it. It's a TV show. What's the big deal?

Honeydew is probably my favorite episode of the series.

Same for me and it's mainly because how it was produced stylistically with the cinematography and music.

Review from Season 1 (Episode 7) is another one I really enjoy. The 20 minute long shot/single take of the kitchen after they realize Syd left the pre-order option on the online orders is amazing.

Doing a first time watch of this show right now and just watched Forks. That was one of the best episodes of television i have seen in a long time. It was so fricking good.
This right here, 100%
Richie is my favorite character on the show and his arc has been great so far. Season 2 has been very good, I hope it wraps up good.

I randomly rewatched the episode a few months ago and my favorite part is the staff meeting where they’re going over who’s in the restaurant and you can see the lights start to come on for Richie to have pride in your work.
Whatever you do , be damn good at it, whether it’s schmoozing customers or shining forks. There’s a life lesson to be learned there .
But that episode gets me emotional every time . When chef Terry tells Richie that Carmy believes in you. Whew. I lose it.

It’s aesthetically ugly and it’s a cheap way to manufacture ‘drama’. It’s like adding Tony’s to every dish. I find the show unwatchable.

Most of the drama in this show isn't built with yelling.
When does the yelling start in fishes? Like 85% of the way in?

I think it was 84%, but maybe you should go back and measure each episode for when the yelling begins.
