I didn't know what to make of this. Beautifully shot, but had some missing elements. The twist was a bit much to swallow.

I thought it was the meanest damn ending to a movie I've ever seen. This poor bastard with a social anxiety disorder allows himself to get close to woman for the first time and it's a massive con. He should have hunted them all down and killed them

It was a bit much but the Brits seem to love this type of device in their movies.

did I take it correctly that the final 10 minutes or so was out of sequence? i.e. he first went to Prague and then was eventually committed?

I enjoyed it. I generally like anything Rush is in. It was basically a clever little parable about how we plant the seeds of our own destruction. He soooo wanted to believe that he was desirable and worthy of love.

It was a well done caper.
Really great, but I also love con movies.

I like it a lot too. The automaton thing seemed out of left field and the most contrived...they just KNEW he would start discovering and stealing those pieces?
