I haven't seen this Academy Award nominated film yet but I was wondering if it was good and wanted to read people's opinions on it before or if I even watch it.

Kevin Costner is a passable "action star" wannabe in this. Some decent bodyguard stuff, but the whole love angle and spoiled pop star thing was just too tiring.

I agree. The whole movie seemed to drag on. Whitney can sing but she's not a very good actress IMO.
Probably worth watching once, though.
