What the hell is this?

trailer

Saw Deadpool 2 again and it had a trailer with Muppets. First line is "can I suck your dick for fifty cents?"
The end of the trailer is one muppet jizzing over everything.

Looks like Sesame Street meets Sausage party. To make it worse, Melissa McCarthy is the star.

Lol

Had no idea it was an official Henson product.

quote:

The film, from STX Entertainment, is directed by the late Jim Henson's son, Brian Henson. Jim Henson created the Muppets and helped develop characters for "Sesame Street."

The trailer has divided the Henson family, as Brian's sister, Lisa Henson, is upset about the film's marketing, saying, "It makes me terribly sad that the marketing campaign for 'Happytime Murders' has devolved to this state of affairs." But Brian reportedly gave his approval to the movie's tagline, "No Sesame. All Street."

Jim Henson is rolling over in his grave. I get Brian wants to be edgy and cool, but the Muppets should be enjoyed by everyone. Especially kids.

P.S. Melissa McCarthy

This looks just awful. What a horrible insult to his father’s legacy. No way in hell would he approve of any of this.

So...it's an R-rated "Roger Rabbit" but with puppets instead of cartoons?

I liked the idea at first while watching, but the more it went the less I liked it.

That's the best synopsis I've seen. R rated roger rabbit.
Melissa is Eddie Valant, she's still sweet on toons because her partner is still alive.

Can’t believe this is what passes as comedy these days. A dirty raunchy movie with a bunch of foul language.

Don't be so sure that this would upset him.

One of Henson's early TV endeavors was a bunch of alcoholic, drugged out, sex fueled muppets on SNL.

It's been that way for awhile. Raunch sex comedies of the 2000's.

Hell look at the recent Sausage Party. I sure hope some clueless parents didn't take their kids to that thinking it was just a cartoon.

I'm going to be all over that when it comes out.

Melissa McCarthy is incredible. Just absolutely hilarious.
She can take the shittiest movie and make it watchable.
