I've only seen the first 20 minutes of this so far earlier today. It's a documentary about the Mississippi guy that allegedly mailed ricin to the White House in 2013(?)

Just 20 minutes and I'm just like "WTF". Is everyone from Mississippi this crazy?

I watched the trailer for it and it had Tiger King vibes to it. I can only deal with a certain type of crazy and fruit loops like that guy and Carol King (that fricking bitch) is just too much.

I had to deal with Kevin Curtis for 6 years with my former employer and he is a huge narcissist, loves attention, will not take no for an answer, but he was intelligent.

Spoilers

The part where he talks about being questioned about the ricin....lol. I kept thinking that there's no way that was true and then all the people confirmed it.

"I never eat rice."

As a lifelong Mississippi resident 999,999 out of a million would likely have said the same thing or something similar. I had no idea what ricin was back then.

KC sounds just like Danny McBride in The Rightous Gemstones.

This whole thing is insane.

I’m about halfway through the second episode. KC just called out his brother for banging his wife. This is nuts.

I guess my personally connection is my wife was left some rental property by her aunt and uncle in Tupelo that we still have.

The aunt had a severe drinking problem. When she was alive, she’d randomly call my wife on a bender and tell her not to let Steve Holland touch her when she died. It was the most random epiphany when that guy came on the screen. My wife was like “I had no idea why she cared so much. Now I know.”

I looked down on Mississippi growing up. Lived there for 5 years in my mid twenties. Can say with full sincerity I loved it. You’d be hard pressed to find a more genuine group of people in the US. They are unabashedly themselves

Hahaha so many good lines…

“They took my house, my family, my hot tub”

“Ricin?! I don’t even eat rice!”

“I’m going to give thousands of ladies foot massages”

“I’m gonna find my dog moo-cow”

I hunt around Plantersville which is a few miles southeast of Tupelo. Yes, there are some legit crazies in the area. Lots of meth. Over the year watched a dude build a massive pallet wall around his trailer. He ended up burning it and his trailer. Every now and then when you'd pass he'd be perched on top of one of the corner towers like a gargoyle. IDK what it is about meth but they all seem to be fascinated with fire. You'll see a decent place start deteriorating and junk getting piled up along with no trespassing signs. It's usually burnt to the ground within a few years.

Tupelo is pretty nice, though. They have some really good people around there. They ain't all a full bubble off of plumb.
