Normies who never played the game but enjoyed their post apocalyptic TV are gonna dip out.
I haven't played the game and I'll stick around for the rest of this season.

The lone character most enjoyed was just shown the clubhouse.
Good luck with all that follows.
(At least Abby will get hers!)

The majority of normal Americans don't know who the hell the chick is and couldn't give two shits about her opinion or whether she's watching or not. Again, I know this is shocking for you, but most people like to watch a show and decide for themselves.
Edit: Holy shite it's actually worse than I thought. SEKige might actually be right. Just checked Grace's YT page and her 26 minute long Season 2 Episode 1 recap video has 43K total views!!!!! This show FUUUUUUGED. The world is now moving on from this show because of her.

Ok old man, time for youtube and bed for you. Thanks for stopping by with your insight. We will now probably all stop watching now that we know you and normie Grace aren't watching.

I’m not a reviewer like Grace.
But I did recently finish Hogwarts Legacy!

Remember what I said about Snow White? Willow? The Acolyte?

I'm just down voting any post that even mentions the game now. Is it really that hard to discuss the tv show without constantly referring to the game?
It's a lot like the Marvel movies when people keep saying " well in the comic they did this and in the comic book they did that".

When they rebuild the outpost, they need another 20 dogs. Those boys kicked arse!

Are dogs/animals affected by the cordyceps shite? I don't remember if we've seen that addressed before or not, and it's been a while since I've seen the first season. I assume a lot of those dogs made it through okay.

Yeah, those dogs did NOT like the infected!

According to the internet, they are not. Not to say that eventually it won't happen but looks like they are safe. Primates might get infected. Someone who remembers Season 1 better might have a better answer.

OK here’s another DV
The Game came out five years ago. Everyone knows what happened already. Both in show & in the game. Even me, who played and watched neither.
I didn’t spoil anything, btw but you do you.

New interview with Bella

Ramsey was put through intensive physical training, such as boxing, jiujitsu and weight training. Once filming began, Ramsey alternated between shooting and stunt training — their work, in other words, was nonstop. The efforts allowed Ramsey to incarnate a tougher, more assured Ellie.
“It was cool to feel really … capable,” Ramsey says. “But I got quite fixated on the way that Ellie looks in the game and her physical stature and, to be specific, the muscle definition in her arms. And I didn’t look like that. My body type isn’t that. I talked about this a lot with Craig, and he never put that expectation on me. He wanted me to look strong and feel strong, and that was in how I carried myself, my posture and the confidence you have. It was a challenge for me to let myself off the hook for not looking computer-generated.”
Not helping matters was the fact that the game character’s metamorphosis versus real-life Ramsey has been a point of obsessive fixation among fans online. Even a casual dive into X and Reddit can uncover next-level cruelty aimed at the actor for not meeting their unrealistic expectations. A few months ago, Ramsey deactivated their social media accounts. “I always knew that I’d [deactivate] it one day and never even really wanted to have social media in the first place,” Ramsey says. “It wasn’t like this big dramatic thing, but there was an element of it that was thinking about the show coming out for season two. If I just avoid Twitter and Reddit, which now I’m doing, then everything’s totally fine.”
quote:
There are scenes to come in the season — with one in particular that we won’t spoil — where Ramsey stuns. “I was scared of her, and I didn’t like her, and I didn’t want her to do what she’s doing,” Mazin says, recalling when the moment was shot. “I look at her, and she’s breaking my heart. I’m just like …” Mazin trails off, marveling. “I’m telling you, Bella Ramsey.”
quote:
And with their The Last of Us duties coming to an end sooner than fans might like (Mazin has said the show — which recently was renewed for a third season — will end either next season or with season four), Ramsey is considering what might come next.
“I haven’t got any specific ideas in mind, but I just want to make sure that the future characters I play feel different to Ellie,” Ramsey says. “Not because I don’t love playing Ellie, but I want to have a new challenge. I want to be scared of a project and a character and not know whether I can do it — that’s the dream.”

My parents don't know. Multiple people I know in real life do not know. My wife doesn't know. I played the games so I know. Judging by the thread title there shouldn't be any game discussion anyway.
I hope you get help one day. Seriously. It has to be exhausting for your husband.

That's commendable. Seem too few actors are willing to do what it takes to bring authenticity to their characters.
