Yes. Almost every single section goes on 30-40% more than it should have. It was very self indulgent and in desperate need of an editor.
Straley's impact on the first game cannot be stressed enough.

Yeah that's silly. It was the most technically advanced game of all time at release and still has some of the best AI I've ever seen.
A lot of narrative choices were big whiffs though, as was the pacing. It could've been almost as good as the first game with a few changes, but as it stands, TLOU1 is a considerably better overall package

I get that you haven't spoiled anything. The thread title should be NO GAME TALK instead. It's a show thread with yall literally just arguing about the game. Don't you see how that's a little annoying for people just talking about the show.
I mean it's not a huge deal, but it kills any show discussion. And I'm sure very soon the "new" poster is going to start calling you a gay tans soy boy Rings of Power devil worshipper that will definitely kill the thread.

Interesting. Just looked up his imdb. Looks like he directed a few of the highlights from the later seasons, including the episode where Dany and Jon met.
It'd be hard to argue that last nights episode wasn't well directed.
I honestly think I would be more excited about the next episode of the revenge crew would have killed Ellie as well. Joel dying was a legit shocker though.
I kind of laughed last night when Abby was torturing Joel and just rambling on, in my head I was think "O just stfu already" and as soon as I thought that, Joel goes "O just stfu and get it over with."

I fully expected him to have directed The Long Night battle episode haha had similar vibes but at least the folks of Jackson didn't abandon their walls to storm out into the Zombie hoard like the Dothraki

Game didn't suck. Just had a bad story, and zero likable characters.
Combat, stealth, and AI were pretty good. If you skip the cutscenes, the game hums.
