the show is better than the movie in every conceivable way and you think it's shite because the 2 leads aren't white?

He confirmed that the script for the Community movie was done and that he was "All in" for it

Where did I say it was shite? I just commented that I knew, rightfully so, that Hollywood does not make remakes anymore without changing the races or sexes of the original main characters.

The issue we are faced with is that there have been COUNTLESS castings due to political and race baiting agendas. It has made it near impossible to differentiate from actors being the right fit for their role, no matter their race/gender, or if they’re just another affirmative action case.
I’m a huge fan of tv and movies so I do my best to just watch the product for what it is instead of contributing to the current narrative. I’m not batting 1.000 on that by any means though

I honestly think this is the one case where you had to switch it up. If they'd cast two good-looking white people they would have suffered in comparison to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (two of the most beautiful and talented people on the planet). No one could live up to that. By changing the races/ethnicities around, it allows for a more complete reboot and avoids those comparisons. That being said, I haven't watched yet.

Current remakes where the lead is still white.
Dune, Wonka, Mean Girls, Road House, Ghost Busters Frozen Empire, The Fall Guy (from a TV show...but still), Joker: Folie à Deux. Sure, there are plenty of remakes where Hollywood decision makers are recasting in a way that doesn't make sense (to appease the Woke). But there are many remakes that haven't done/aren't doing that.
