I’m not a huge Robert Eggers fan hates the VVitch and thought the Lighthouse was like watching an insanely long fever dream.

This is actually a movie I can get behind. It's original, historical, and doesn't seem to be driven by an agenda like The Last Duel was.

Yep. These two movies look totally similar in tone, style and content. You nailed it. We can totally tell you saw The Last Duel.
I'm in for anything from Eggers at this point. I know he and his brother have been working on the Northman screenplay since before he made The Lighthouse. My only slight hesitation is Skarsgard, whom I always find flat.
The trailer actually gives me Valhalla Rising vibes. If Eggers has created something similar in feel but with a more compelling narrative, that'll be pretty cool. I also know that assuming I know what to expect from one of his movies is pure folly.
